 The biggest event in Portugal

for Game Developers

GDCamp is a conference that caters to all members of the video games development community, from programmers, artists, musicians, game designers, publishers, investors, students, etc.

GDCamp’s fourth edition will be held on November 24th, 2017, from 9:00 to 19:00, at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias in Lisbon.

For a whole day, the participants will have the chance to meet relevant personalities from the industry and attend lectures. Studios will have the opportunity to reveal their work to the community at the showcase area or at a first-come, first-served showcase shared table.

2016 GDCamp presented a great growth in the quality of games made in Portugal.

2015 GDCamp showed everyone a clear growth in the quantity of Portuguese game studios.

2014 GDCamp was an amazing event because everyone in the community proved they were united.

Helana Santos is a game developer with a vast experience in the development of tools and games for over 10 years. These include Epic Mickey 2, Ace of Spades, The Cat that Got the Milk, The Button Affair, Typing of the Dead: Overkill, LA COPS and Dragon Putt.

Selected as 30 under 30 in 2014 and as MCV's UK Top 30 Women in Games 2016, she is the Technical Director at Modern Dream. A progressive production studio that values the innovation and creativity that comes from diversity.

She was a serial entrepreneur and advisor to startups and a frequent speaker/judge in international conferences. In recent years, having served on the senior executive rank for international companies from Italy, France and China, she has deep connections in Silicon Valley, China and Europe, where she specializes in cross border operations, building strategic partnership and M&A.

Shirley started her career as an aerospace developer on Space Shuttle Program in NASA, Texas and various Fortune 500 tech companies in Silicon Valley.
